Nina Letterly

When I think about my career path as a graphic designer, I recall the memory of being seven years old and completely obsessed with Ricky Martin. I decided to host a one-woman show in our family room and created handmade invitation cards and ticket stubs. I convinced my little brother to collect the tickets in the entryway and announce me onto the stage (coffee table), however, I had spent so long making the promotional artwork, I didn’t have enough time to come up with any choreography. Long story short, I got nervous and ran to my room in tears. So, although my family may not have been able to experience my little shoulders shimmying to “Livin’ La Vida Loca”, they were able to hold on to my designs as a token of what would have been an unforgettable performance.

Design communicates an experience and brings a tangible element to life’s most important moments. In all my work, whether I’m creating wedding invitations, a company’s logo and branding, or a digital product design, I strive to translate the core of its identity to the people who will be witnessing or interacting with it.

I started Meraki Design Works as a way to connect with people and bring their ideas to life through design. The Greek word “Meraki” describes creating something with love and soul, and when you work with me you will find I give you and your design dream my all.
